Calypso Bay Jacobs Well

Calypso Bay Jacobs Well does not have a good reputation. Calypso bay the estate is located in the northern end of the Gold Coast and is a water front estate. Calypso Bay is a planned 900 lot subdivision being developed by the developer Roche Group - They have a bad reputation in the market place. Even Brisbane Plumbing companies have voiced their knowledge of the Roche groups bad reputation. Calypso Bay has a planned supermarket, restaurants, gym and golf course. All of these are not in as promised and look like they will be a long time coming. The reason for this is that the development is not selling as "advertised".  The residents are getting caught in between the developers not being able to sell the land and raising enough of the Body Corp to pay for everything.

Three years after the property was heavily marketed we can see from the Google Earth map, completed in 2010 that there is so little houses for the amount of land. The development looks like it has stalled heavily. You will notice that there are boats in the marina. This is where the stores are supposed to be overlooking those boats, not even the ground is broken, meaning the shops are possibly still years away.

As you can see there is nothing there for the residents to use as is advertised in the glossy brochures. The houses are "dense" in the areas that were sold prior to the estate getting it bad reputation on the market. The "golf course" to the left of the picture doesnt look like much work is being done. Underneath the clouds are the tips of the estate and very little houses are built. Think about this, would you buy in an estate that looks like nothing is being done and the developers have a bad reputation?.
